Can we hunt for truffles? Experience

Conversely, the hunt experience booked may also occur during bad weather, would you be happy with an uncompensated cancellation? 
Ie. If the hunt experience was cancelled due to weather, a refund or postponement would be expected by the customer.

If our truffle hunting time is cancelled out by rain, and we had used the good weather window for a "truffle hunt experience" instead of hunting, our losses can be significant. See images
That is the type of risk we need to take in accepting hunt bookings =uncompensated losses. Thus a hunting experience needs a price tag that suits a portion of the risk.

Therefore we have the following offer, for those that understand our sensitive position as farmers with short seasoned, environmentally sensitive crop;

• $1650 for a one hour, Mid-Season with truffle talk while hunting a few truffles in the orchard with the dogs,
• $600 Shoulder period, near season end
• for a 1 to 4 person small group.
• opportunity to harvest a truffle or several from the ground
• Limits apply to how much truffle is included in your hunt, any additional weight to be purchased, value can often be roughly guessed while in ground, a large truffle can easily be worth $600, a smaller one $60)
• Shoulder season, harvest some truffles during your hunt, purchase some or all of them at wholesale rates.

• Stroll down to the Truffière, discussing how truffles grow along the way.
• Tag along (mind where you put your feet) as Lani and Jager show us where some ripening truffles are, and indicate which are best.
• Experience the wonder of sniffing a truffle in ground (sometimes it's not even necessary to bend down)
• You will have the chance to gently unearth truffles yourself
• Take home your truffle, with good advice on how to cook with it, or take it to your favorite restaurant.

• {Definitely Not a u-pick & take it all home, even the cherry farms charge for weight picked}
• {If the above still makes no sense, consider it cost several hundred thousand dollars and 17 years to bring the truffle orchard to it's current level of production}

When?

• These private hunts cannot be offered as a regular item, or on demand.
• They will need to fit into available harvest weather, export orders, deliveries etc.
